Aikman Physiotherapy is a dynamic private physiotherapy practice of Andrew Aikman. The main vision of the practice is to provide evidence-based Physiotherapy in the most professional way. His philosophy is to treat his patients in a mindful way, guiding them back to the highest functional level.
After school, Andrew enrolled at the Potchefstroom University for Christian Higher Education (1999) for B.Sc Human Movement Sciences. He subsequently completed his B.Sc (Honn) in Biokinetics at the end of 2002. In 2003 he started with his M.Sc Biokinetics. Andrew received this degree in 2007 from the North West University. At the start of 2004 he got accepted at the University of Pretoria for his BPhysT degree.
He completed his Community Service at Edenvale General Hospital in 2008. The following year he joined Kuhn Physiotherapist Assoc, in Kempton Park, as a Junior Physiotherapist. In 2010 he became a partner in the Aikman Kuhn Physiotherapists practice.
In 2021 he opened his own practice Aikman Physiotherapy. He has consulting rooms in Van Riebeeck Park, Kempton Park as well as in Moreleta Park, Pretoria, in the Parkview Lifestyle Centre's, Woodhill Intercare.
The practice focus is the full rehabilitation of orthopeadic patients, sport injuries, metabolic and cardiovascular disease, as well as taking care of patients with chronic pain syndromes. His background as qualified Biokineticist supports his rehabilitation approach.
If he is not working, Andrew is a keen gardener, recreational runner and a struggling, trying not to drown triathlete. He also loves to spent time at home with his lovely wife and two awesome boys.Andrew Aikman is OMT trained and has a special interest in the treatment a of patients with chronic pain.
